About ForestVision.ai

We are building the AI layer the $340B global timber industry has been waiting for. Today, the industry relies on a 200-year-old volume formula and manual tape measures to manage high-value log loads, resulting in 17–35% estimation errors. We are replacing this with patented multimodal computer vision and AI agents deployed directly at the truck scale—the most leveraged data moment in the supply chain.  By eliminating these inaccuracies, we directly support sustainable resource management and better stewardship of our natural forests.

Unlike competitors who rely on consumer smartphones for mobile, decentralized setups, ForestVision.ai deploys fixed, industrial-grade camera rigs and edge-computing boxes specifically designed for high-throughput mill entryways. We don’t just output predictions; we generate a state-certified audit trail that transforms raw pixels into deterministic, industry-standard measurements.

Focus Areas

Forest Vision is seeking an experienced construction manager to support the rapid expansion of the Forest Vision Log Scaling system. This involves developing standard processes and procedures for new site development, coordinating and planning installations with customers, managing all aspects of the installation process, and building out the vendor network as needed across the NW.  As the installation base grows, you'll have opportunities to take on leadership roles and help build a nationwide installation and maintenance network.  Candidates with relevant project and program experience will also have opportunities to contribute to the engineering and software development efforts.

  • Coordinate and manage the installation process with all stakeholders (Suppliers, vendors, mill staff, permitting agencies, utilities).
  • Manage the budgets and quality of all installation projects.
  • Contract and manage contract vendors or internal staff to perform routine maintenance
  • Manage the procurement and/or fabrication of all components and subassemblies to install and maintain the Forest Vision Log Scaling Systems.
  • Forecast for upcoming installations and maintain inventory to meet the deployment schedule.

Required Qualifications

  • Vendor negotiation, management, and quality control.
  • Previous experience as a millwright, general contractor, or tradesperson is desirable but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Physical and Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel frequently to regional mills (up to 50% travel may be required depending on project phases).  This person would start with the western region, including mills in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Northern California.
